D21 HD Leaf springs

i am trying to find a set of salvaged leaf springs to replace my worn 240,000 stockers on my '91 d21. the salvage yards that i have called have asked me if i have the heavy duty version. i didn't know there was a heavy duty version. how can i find out? what is the difference between the hd version and the standard? will either one work?

To the best of my knowledge, there isn't a heavy duty version. I cant find anything about it with some quick google searches. Perhaps the 4x4 version has heavier springs?

The 4x4 has spring over, and I think shorter springs. Maybe the dually had heavier springs, but I thought all D21's had the 1400lb payload whether it was 2wd or 4wd.

If you had HD it would say it on the tailgate. Those were mostly found on long beds and dually trucks.

so, could they be used on a standard HB or are they above the axle like the 4wd?

They are under the axle like the rest of the 2wds. I imagine they will bolt up OK.
