Alright got a 95 Nissan pickup V6 4x4 that i bought awhile ago with only 84k miles! Cruise never worked so ive googled around looking for ways to fix it. When i go to put cruise on i push the button and the little green light in the switch turns on. Once i hit the set cruise on the steering wheel a green cruise light comes on the dash. But when i let the pedal go speed drops because cruise obviously isn't engaged. Just replaced the cancel switch that goes on the clutch pedal bracket with no luck. Checked my vac lines and all is well with that. The throttle cables all look fine. what else can i poke around at?

Thats weird.
I don't know a lot about the Nissan cruise system, but my bet is that its vacuum related. I had a vacuum hose crack on an old GM car at the pedal and had to plumb in a new one. Worked great after that. I wonder if maybe there is a leaky hose at the module under the hood.

In addition to that, we have Factory Service Manuals available free to members. Take a peek at the link in my signature and find the FSM for your car and you'll have all the info you'll ever need to make the repair and try to diagnose it for yourself while help is on the way.

Ill replace the vac line but when i inspected it i found no cracks. Also replaced the acsd switch above the brake pedal as well. Only thing left is either the servo went out or the little cruise control box under the dash went out.

Good call- start cheap and work your way from there. Hopefully a junk yard near you has both of those so that you can learn how to take them out and replace them on their car before tearing into yours.
