I have a 1990 D21 with the vg30e. It is an extended cab, 2wheel drive, with the fuel pump in the tank. Mine has a USA built fuel pump which recently retired itself for a life in the land fill probably(ha ha). After calling around I discoved that fuel pumps are made of pure gold, or at least the autopart stores price them like they are. So I am trying to find a used one at the local junk yard. But apparently Nissan had some built in the USA and some built in Japan. Mine was built in the usa, and after finding a pathfinder of same year, same engine, I discovered it had a japanese pump in it. what are the differences and can one be made to work in place of another? Also, what is the PSI of the pump that came out of my truck. If I find a pump with the same volume and psi it should theoretically work right? Provinding of course that It can be mounted in place of the factory one.

I put a z32 n/a pump once in a d21 ka24e powered pickup and it ran fine. The stock FPR will handle it just fine, this same pump powered a vg30dett engine up to 450hp. lol.
