sorry guys if the question is too dumb :pface anyway, just received the D2 coilovers, they look great, but there are no instruction manual or so.

so my question now is: is the whole coilover setup ready to bolt on ? i mean do i have to take out any of the bushing from my stock setup to make it fit/work ?

also, when i look at the coilovers, the front one looks pretty much ready to put on, but for the rear, the two bolts from the strut mount is exposing their heads, looks like the spring cannot fit prefectly on to the strut mount coz of these bolt heads. there rubber bushing in between, but my question is should there be another upper spring seat to make it fit better ?

thank you, i might be unclear about my question, but any help would be appreciated.

Hey, i just installed mine and the only problem i have is the height for the rear. I have a 95 240 and i adjusted the spring all the way to the top now im adjusting the bottom of it. How far is too far for me to adjust the bottom of it?(i dont want it to fall off or something)

solid, keep adjusting your height by the springs and you'll be looking for another set of coils real soon. Adjust height by the cup at the bottom, and adjust the springs by the perch.

Stock Front (rear is similar, except two bolts on top and one bolt on bottom of strut):1) Remove the two bolts on the hub (17mm)2) Loosen the three bolts at the top (14mm). Don't remove all the way. Just leave a little on.3) Wiggle the bottom of the strut (push on it actually) till it separates from the spindle. The spindle will drop forward a little. Don't wory4) Remove shock5) Put D2 in, and bolt it up at the top.6) Loosen the bottom collars to adjust height of the bottom piece. If your stock wheelgap is 4", then move the bottom piece like 3" up. Tighten the collars.7) Place jack under the front lower control arm balljoint (put some wood or whatever)8) Jack up the spindle/hub till it lines up with the coilover mount.9) Put in the two bolts10) Tighten things, torque it down*, adjust your camber at the top (make sure those screws are TIGHT), FINISHED. :)

* Front: top three bolts are 39-54lb/ft, bottom two bolts are 114-136lb/ft Rear: top two bolts are 16-19lb/ft, bottom one bolt is 88-108lb/ft

There is no left and right. It's the same thing.

If you want to avoid confusion or forgetting which goes whereif you decide to take them out at a later time, use the serial # asa guide. I put my coilovers with the smaller serial # on the driverside and higher serial # on passenger side.

Not that it matters, but I wouldn't switch them around at a later date.
