Hmm I heard D2 coilovers has the label "for track use only" but I am trying to get these as a daily driver. I did not know these were only intended for track use and have already ordered them. Can these last long as a daily driver??? I don't want to buy new ones or rebuild them if they only last 1-2 years.

I just installed my D2's this week.

I can tell you... they are built as good as, if not BETTER than any other coil-over I've seen. They say for "racing" use only actually? Not sure if that is just a translation discrepancy or what.

Regardless, I believe the say that just to cover their own a$$. If you buy an SR20DET, or any non-street legal, or non-OEM part... the seller will generally provide you with information (verbal or written) stating the part is for track use only. This is the prudent thing to do from a seller's perspective. It is an effort to make sure the buyer is informed to the furthest extent that the seller could "REASONABLY" be expected to do.

Obviously there is no way for me to say, by visual inspection and three days of use alone, that the dampeners will hold up to daily driving for many years... but judging by the build quality of the rest of the product, I would assume they are of good quality.

I purchased mine for my daily driver, but I also keep in mind that most every after-market "performance" product is going to typically have a shorter usable life than an OEM replacement. Remember, automobile manufacturers have it in their best interest to build parts that will last longer than their warranty, but as a result... "performance" may take a back seat to durability. Performance parts manufacturers may offer a short warranty, but it's short for a reason. Their primary concern is making a good "performance" part... and durability is a secondary concern. Just something to keep in mind before you buy ANYTHING other than a stock OEM replacement.

^ thanks for the info. So how are the D2 coilovers anyways?? Since yours is for a daily driver, how do they hold up??? Not too rough? handling wise?? And thanks for lettin me know that, I'll install mine in and see how it goes. And I guess if they do break down I can get em rebuilt.

To me... they feel GREAT! New England has some crappy-*** roads, and the car seems to deal with changing terrain quite well. I've been having a blast testing the limits of my coilover/tire combo. I've always been more concerned with tire choice than suspension, but when you put great tires and a (seemingly) great suspension together..... ooooooh man it is a WHOLE different car now.

The daily drive is fine for me. It's obviously stiffer, but the ride is absolutely fine, and the handling MORE than makes up for any discomfort that my passangers might ****** about.

Yes...

If you didn't know that already, you might want to do a little more research on what products you're considering.. ;)

Kumho Ecsta Supra's

225/50/16's

Kazera wheels

I'd go with 225/40/16's if I were you. I went with a slightly higher profile to accomodate the roads up here....
