D1 Grand Prix/JGTC GT Live Event

California Speedway, Fontana: Dec 18-19 2004

Despite some heavy winds, the event went as planned and JGTC’s first appearance on US shores was one to remember. Because of the track layout and open infield the experience was nothing short of total immersion treatment for everyone there. From the noise of the engines to the cars buzzing past, the crowd definitely felt like a part of the action. The second day was much more benign when it came to the weather but the action was still as extreme as it gets. There was blood in the water as the US drivers faced off with the best from Japan. In the end the Japanese emerged as the victors but not before the US gave them a solid run for their money.

Pics are now up in our gallery. You can view the pics here. Drift Factory would like to thank all of you who stopped by our booth. We were pleased with the positive response to the launch of our new 2005 clothing line. We now have a variety of car specific shirts in different colors and sizes. A new girl's line was also launched. Click here to view our new clothing line. After many requests, we are now anticipating another expansion, so look out for new shirts and accessories on the way.

AHhh!!! I Could hear the cars running from my house! I live like 2 mins away from the speedway. It was torturing me that I wasn't there, I had to work... At least the money I woulda spent there went towards a new sturt bar and control arms.

And Iv'e never seen so many NSX's driving around...Ever. It was insane, especially all the ones that were parked at Carls Jr. when I went to eat there for lunch. Alot of people with the GTLive passes even came into my work torturing me even more.

From what iv'e seen though, it was a pretty good show.
