D1 Grand Prix/JGTC GT Live Event

California Speedway, Fontana: Dec 18-19 2004



Despite some heavy winds, the event went as planned and JGTC’s first appearance on US shores was one to remember. Because of the track layout and open infield the experience was nothing short of total immersion treatment for everyone there. From the noise of the engines to the cars buzzing past, the crowd definitely felt like a part of the action. The second day was much more benign when it came to the weather but the action was still as extreme as it gets. There was blood in the water as the US drivers faced off with the best from Japan. In the end the Japanese emerged as the victors but not before the US gave them a solid run for their money.

haha don't feel bad, the camera that was used to take these pics was 8 Megapixel!

What camera was used? I have a 5 mp Nikon and it doesnt look near that good.

I know it's a Canon. I'm not sure exactly which model. I can find out though.
