D1 Grand Prix Professional Drift presented by Yokohama on August 31, 2003 @ Irwindale Speedway

We will be setting up a temporary D1 competition course in the middle of the ½ oval.The grandstands will provide an awesome view of the entire competition.In addition to the world class drifting competition, there will be plenty of things to see and do, including:

A car show D1 umbrella girls (aka JDM hoeZ)Autograph signings with D1 drivers and other Japanese motorsports celebrities.Live Drift Car Build-Up by Import Tuner Magazine Vendor midway Cars from Japan Action Sports Demonstrations Car show entry - $40 (includes car spot and 2 tickets) Ticket - $20

Purchase your ticket(s):PURCHASE TICKETS FOR THE MAIN EVENTREGISTER YOUR CAR FOR THE CAR SHOW

Event Schedule (tentative) 8:00am vendor/sponsor set-up begins 10:00am car show roll-in begins 2:00pm vendor/sponsor & car show set-up ends 3:00pm gates open to public 4:00pm car show judging begins 5:00pm to 6:00pm D1 group one practice session 6:00pm to 7:00pm D1 group two practice session 7:30pm to 9:30pm D1 competition 9:30pm awards ceremony 10:00pm event ends

me adn 2 other people are coming from chicago ,already have out VIP tickets someone show us around...not in a sexual way is preferred

:dogpile i'll definately be there. i went to the last one, and still have peices of "JDM" tire in my ears i think from being sooooo close to the cars! hopefully a strong 240 and nissan presence will be felt. maybe we can all meet for lunch close by. my parents live like 2 minutes away. i can hear the cars running from my house!!

within 10 minutes away from the track is a chili's and acapulcos, and applebees, and some other places.

Just keep checking this thread for updates regarding a pre-meet on the day of the event. I'm assuming that when you get to LAX, you're going to have a rental car waiting for you.

Well Im getting ready for the event! I just finished up some last touches this evening and getting ready for some tuning on the Dyno tomorrow.

richardxfeng: Having VIP tickets means that you don't have to wait in line to get in. VIP ticket holders get to get in through the "express line" and have access to the "backstage" area and stuff. They sold out already if you haven't purchased them yet.

S13s Lost Illusion: That's still TBA. Probably a few hours before the D1 event begins.

koukis13: I believe the only tickets that are still available for purchase are trackside and general. The trackside tickets are $5 more than the general ones, I'm not exactly sure what the differences are, but I just got the trackside anyways.

We are nto going ot meet at the whittier narrows... I was talking about the meet at the mall that we had the first time we went to Drift showoff at Irwindale...

Puente Hills mall is in the opposite direction of where Irwindale Speedway would be. Let's just meet at the Santa Anita/Arcadia mall instead. It's a lot closer to Irwindale and it has a pretty big parking lot too.
