89 coupe SOHC. Anybody have any recommendations on this matter.1 bolt below the oil cap will not tighten. Minor oil dripping. The motor runs fine. Other than first start-up. It rattles as if the oil has to catch up to the cams/rockers,etc. I monitor the oil level closely so it's not that Or could that be the timing chain rattling. Addressing the valve cover matter is first I guess. Is there any thing I can do about this stripped head/hole LOL ?

If I have to swap I need to know that. I have a pretty good line up on a dohc from a 92.

The proper thing to do is drill and hellicoil it. Honestly, though... I'd just get a hex-head wood screw from the hardware store and call it good as new. The bigger screw will fit snug and the wood-screw thread will be far less likely to strip out again. It's just not worth the trouble and money when there's such an easy fix unless you're really really really anal. I myself am only really really anal.

Thanks. Sounds alot cheaper/ easier than swapping.Since I found the dohc at a good price I may still get it. I'll try the swap this winter maybe. Wish there more 240 guys in Memphis.I sure could use the help. I already swapped the trans myself.
