Hello, I have a 93 Nissan Sentra which is not firing in cylinder #4...

1. checked spark plug wires, simple check by holding to the valve cover which results in spark.

Swapped plugs from cylinder 3 into 4 and same result, haven't swapped wires since #4 wire wont

reach the 3rd cylinder.

2. Listened to injectors with a long flat head screw driver, the problem cylinder has a

slightly louder click to it, but doesnt seem abnormal, also removed plug and had a slight gas

scent to it.

3. Compression... Havent got to test this yet, but i did remove plug (to see once connected to

wire for spark) and it was gasping and blowing air... Friend is on his way over this week with

a gauge, I'll get back to you on the reading for all cylinders.

A little background on the car...

Ive had some faulty wiring problems, speedometer/odometer hasn't worked in 4-5 years after

replacing a starter and my left blinker was wacky and would stay stuck on only when my

headlight were on,when headlights were off my right and left would blink, that fixed itself

somehow. if compression is ok, which sensors should i start to check? or what would you suggest I check?

Injector is not firing or the ECU is toast.

Quick update - "engine restore" has revived my cylinder, I now have all 4 firing again and running as smooth as ever.

More background on my run in with this problem - I used" GUNK's Engine flush" prior to my last oil change, I didnt realize how much the sludge or lubrication was in there and when flusing I lost alot of sealing. Any way to get back this once tighter seal? Should I use heavier oil then 10w30?

*side note to all, don't use a motor flush on high mileage engine(even if stated for high mileage cars) or older engines, it loosens seals.(im sure most of you knew this, but if i can contribute with my experience, maybe save someone these woes).

Thumbs up to "Engine restore", I would of never thought, it would of helped this much. But i took the chance on it out of curiosity.

Any suggestions to keeping this engine running well after its near-fatal encounter with engine flush?
