Found some headers on ebay for a SOHC. Will they work on my DOHC? Or are the bolt patterns different?

I would try to find out if stock manifolds are the same part numbers or not. Check at your local Advance Auto Parts or local dealership. If stock part numbers are same for SOHC and DOHC, go for it.

In your Topic title, you have cylinder heads, but then you discuss ebay headers, which ones are you asking about, heads or headers?

Heads or headers, it won't work. Headers (exhaust manifolds) don't work because ports are different and bolt patterns are different. Cylinder heads don't work because they're different engines...different bolt patterns, completely different valvetrain setups.

No one makes headers for the VE engine.

However, the stock exhaust manifolds are designed pretty well. If you add a better flowing aftermarket Y-pipe, you will be just as well off as someone with headers. The install is pretty easy on the Y-pipe, too.

warpspeed is the most common type and it cost about $200 with all of the gaskets and stuff.

I second what Chris said. The Maxima's already come with tubular exhaust manifolds and are pretty decent. The main problem is the y-pipe and an aftermarket piece will get you a decent gain in power.
