hey i got a question do those lifter buckets have to go in a certain order see im building my extra head and the dumb people before i got it lost some of them so i was just curiousS13DrIfTmEkAnIcS wrote:ha, well you have to take the cam gears off (a socket on the obvious bolt on the cam, and a wrench on the cam where it has a bolt-looking part on the shaft) take off the cam guides off in a certain order (its in the maual u bought) take the cams out carefully!!! then get to the hex bolts, take them out in a certain order specified also. then take the timing gear on the head off and pull the head off. oh there are some grounds to take off before u start all this. and DO NOT tip the head on its side or upside down. all those lifter buckets will fall out and ur gonna be pissed. good luck
The buckets themselves should be the same everywhere. However, on top of each lifter bucket is a shim to adjust the lifter with respect to the cam.
