Cylinder head rebuild? !994 G20

I searched and searched. I picked up a 1994 G20 for 100 dollars. I put a transmission in it and it runs great. Only issue is it has some bad sounding lifters. I know it has been ran out of oil so i removed the lifters and bled them according to procedure. It didnt get any better.

The head is a solid chunk of chocolate. I would like to just replace the lifters, have the head cleaned up professionally and reinstall it. I kind find a lifter kit to save my life.

Any help?
