I'm sorry for my poor english!!!I have a question!I have a vg30I engine,on the cylinder head there is a number and that is R21V,on the engine block i have another number,that is 85E.Can I put on my engine block the cylinder head DOHC 24 valve of a vg30DE?If not! I wonna know if is possible fit in my engine another cylinder head of this type!?tanks at all...!

You can swap heads from other VG30E's but can't do a DOHC head. The VG30E(T)'s used 13 head bolts per head while the DE(TT) only 8 and there are coolant and oil passage differences that would make it pretty much impossible to do.

There was a difference in the heads between the SOHC VG's between 87 and 88. They went to what they call the W-series block which had a slightly different block and head design, as far as the oil and coolant passages go. There are certain combos you can do with the AB block and W block but to make it easy I recommend keeping with the style head you have as there aren't really any performance differences between them.
