Aka a problem

So it begins.
1996 z32 300zx 5speed
Original 60k miles cars very clean.
Was driving great and one day started to misfire horribly.
First thought was fuel because I was told the fuel systems in these cars always has problems.

Step 1 checked the injectors 1-6
Step 2 injector 4 not firing.
Step 3 checked ohms of injector no reading.
Step 4 checks ohms of other working injectors still no reading.
Step 5 slightly confused.
Step 6 I pluging in injector wire 2 on cylinder 4 still no firing of #4 injector
Step 7 tried injector wire #4 on cylinder 2 now #2 don't fire.
Step 8 put all wires back like they were.
Step 9 replaced #4 wiring inector connector.
Step 10 ohmed out wire white/black for #4 back to pin 112 on ecu good reading.
Step 11 ohmed red/black wire on injector #4 with other injector harnesses reading good.

Step 12 pissed off and confused?
Is it possible there's a nismo magical sorcery that I can't grasp?

Install a new injector on cylinder 4 and call it a day. You should be able to get some kind of ohm reading on each injector with a multimeter. Sometimes if there's corrosion buildup on the pins it can prevent getting a reading. Spec is 10-14 ohms, anything outside that is bad. You can pick up a set of 6 reman'd (sonic cleaned and flow tested) for ~$160 on ebay or buy new ones for ~$100 each. There's a chance its the CAS not working properly, but usually you will have multiple misfires in that case.

New injectors

Even with your car being a 1996 (newer since that was the last year produced) everything is still 18 years old.

Actually if you plugged #4 harness into #2 and got no clicking from that injector but that injector is working with it's #2 injector harness and wiring to the ECm is fine then the ECM's injector driver is shot. This is where a noid light would be very helpful.
