kind of sounds like the Hall Effects sensor in the distributor. AKA crankshaft postion sensor. Thats my guess.

Maybe you have spark but the injector is bad.Use the ohm meter and check if there is any resistance on your injector. If you don't then that's should be it.But when you replace it be very careful not to damage the oring of the injector.

you're not looking at the whole picture...you're missing spark AND fuel?do what the above poster suggested and check the crankshaft position sensor or perhaps the teeth on the ring for broken teeth.

now that I think about it, how can you tell if the injector isn't firing just by pulling the plug? You would need a noid light for that. You can rent them at most parts stores. They just plug into where the injector would go and if there is a signal the light will flash just as if the injector was there.

Every time i use fuel injector cleaner, it kills and injector. It might still work but it can also be clogged at the same time, which will give you the same effect as it not working in an electrical since. also check you wires your plug, distributor cap. u know, something simple like that. you don't always have to dig deep the get treasure

Yeah I think the fuel injector cleanser killed one of mine too that I just got replaced. My KA only has 81000 miles on it.

One crucial thing I recommend is DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR IF IT IS NOT RUNNING ON ALL CYLINDERS!!

I cannot stress that enough, my brother needs head work now because of a previous owners neglect.

do you have a multimeter? if not buy one they are critical. with the car cold, pull off each injector plug and check for resistance, it should be around 11 ohms at room temp. If the numbers are way off than your injector is fried.

Next check for spark. this should be pretty easy. If both check out, compression is your next test.

There is a kit you can purchase for around $30 at autozone. It comes with instructions and is easy to do. Good luck man keep us posted.
