ok guys... ive been running down a list of trouble shooting and would like to know what input you guys have. The injector is firing, the coilpacks are sparking, there is sufficient fuel. Spark plugs are new. i also tested my coilpack in another car and worked fine. Thing sounds like a wrx running on 3 cylinders. What could cause this? I need 2 check the compression tomorrow, but i would like to know if you guys had any other idea of what could cause a cylinder not to fire..... I have no idea.....

since you can tell which cylinder isnt working, start swapping parts. swap coilpacks with a different cylinder, switch injectors, clean up the ground off the coilpack harness. see if swapping parts makes the misfire follow a part. usually the ignitor chip will go out and will kill spark to all the cylinders, not just one (usually). also, i made this mistake once too when my injector stuck open, make sure you are sufficiently drying out the cylinder each time you try to start it, all that fuel in there will foul your plug and not let it start even if you fix the problem. good luck.
