Good afternoon,

First off great job on the website... the Qs and As have been extremely helpful.

Ok here's the prob... for about 1 month now my 01 pathfinder 3.5 has been running rough. Changed the plugs and still ran rough (idling and running... problem sometimes goes away too). Got a local mech to check the codes and I got P171, 301, 300 and 1370. I had read that maybe is was the MAF so I changed it. The truck still runs rough. I have read that maybe the cam sensors (since the oil was pretty back when I changed it) and/or the coil pack fro cyl #1.

1. should I have had the computer reprog after installing the new MAF?2. since I get P301 which is specific to cyl # 1, should I change the coil pack on it or should I replace both cam sensors first?3. if I'm standing facing the truck where would cyl # 1 be located?4. what's code 1370? Ignition signal?

Thanks alot everyone.

Cylinder 1 is Front right (US passenger's side).

I think the coil packs are interchangeable between cylinders. I'd swap #1with one of the others and see if the the bug moves.

P1370 is not in the FSM. You sure that's the right code?

What makes you think you have a cam sensor problem? None of your codes indicate that.

Hey Chuck,

Thanks for the reply...

You're right the coil packs are all interchangeable except, of course, for cylinder #1.

As for the cam sensors, I just read in an other post that they are known to bugger up, but true if it was the sensor then the code reading would indicate.

As for the PO1370 code not sure where they got it from. Just says PO1370 - ignition signal.

Thanks again chuck... I'll change the coil pack on #1 and keep you posted

PO1370 isn't a code. Code is P followed by exactly four digits. P0137 is an O2sensor problem. that's the only '01 PF code with "137" in it.
