Cyber Monday Deals?

I'm looking for some kickass deals on electronics and whatnot... possibly a computer for my parents. They are PC folk, and so am I so when they download viruses I can fix it. So far Newegg isn't very impressive.

HIDExtra (NICO sponsor) had a pretty smokin deal on HID retro kits.

I haven't seen anything good this year really. Nothing special for electronics and Ect from what I've seen so far.

If you're looking for a new pc, I picked up my new HP desktop for $479 at Best Buy. AMD Quad core, 6 GB of RAM, 1 TB hard drive. They had a combo deal with a monitor and printer for $629 too.

I got an email from Costco with a great deal on a Printer I want. I checked Amazon and they had it cheaper with no tax as well. I was at school when I saw the deal and tried to order it when I got home. They were sold out. Ugh. I ended up ordering through Costco since the deal is only for today, but hopefully the same deal shows up on Amazon again. Costco has an awesome return policy so I can easily return it if a similar deal shows up again soon.

All of my shopping was done on Friday, thanks to Amazon. The only thing I wish I could have found a good deal on was an ipad. Consequently, if anyone finds a good deal on one, please send me the info. It would be nice replacement for the heavy textbooks in my backpack next semester.

All the deals you're gonna find this season are all on the iPad 1, and you probably don't want that version. You probably want version 2.

Apple doesn't do discounts, they're a buncha greedy fu*ks.

Actually, a first gen would be just fine. I just want to be able to access my textbooks digitally instead of hauling the hardcovers to class. I checked Apple's refurbished bin and they didn't have any available. damnit

If all you want is something that can read digital books, a Kindle can read PDF files and its a TON cheaper than an iPos and you can drop it a lot more times. I'm on iPad #2 after my first one couldn't take more than 2 drops (3rd totally destroyed it).

Also, I wish they made a tablet that folded in half, had screen on both sides, and is a little smaller than the iPad so it could fit in a large pants pocket.

And I am also in need of a laptop, something decent. I dont really know what Im looking for as far as computer power though. What Im seeing is a 4GB and 500GB hardrive for $450-500. Good deals? Just been lookin at Dells so far. Other good makers to look out for or any bad ones to look out for? Kinda askin for your input here Dave.

My parents would be looking for something for web browsing (my dad is a craigslist fiend), MS office, and possibly Quicken.

They have a crappier model for $349, but its only like 1.6 ghz processor.

EDIT: Bought it. Broke $400 with tax.
