Well guys i did some research on nico and most people commented the cx racing turbo kits are as good as wat u pay for. But their is something i dont understand. Lets say i keep the ebay turbo for a while unitl i can get some money to buy a bigger turbo, if i run the ebay turbo at 8 psi am i more than likely to have trouble? Because people say they had trouble with it and i thought that of course if they ran a pos turbo at high psi it would.

I havn't been able to drive my car for a few weeks, but before that I was using a ebay turbo from ILOVETACOTACO ( I know, it's a weird name) for a few months at 8psi and it was working great Just make sure to use a oil restrictor and you'll be good to go. Ebay turbos aren't a peice of s***, ebay turbo manifolds on the other hand Most people who have had problems with them either didn't use a restrictor, or used a restrictor that was too big.

I have never been a big fan of ebay turbos.

Maybe I'm just being a snob here but I would much rather have a nice garrett, mitsu, ihi, borg or holset off a junkyard car for $50 and then spend 50-150 for rebuild.

I've heard bad stories and good ones for ebay turbos, so its basically hit and miss.

You also gotta think where your money is actually going, but thats just what I go by.

Well the thing is im american muscle guy im getting it as a gift from my dad because i sold my mustang to buy a gas savor 240 lol. But I want to get the kit and turbo up and running then upgrade my stuff little by little. Most likely ill probably end up getting a garret gt35 turbo and a megan racing manifold, but ebay will have to do for now.

IDK what kind of turbo you have, but this is what I got http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...465a2 Like you said earlier, I don't plan on using cheap eBay parts forever. I plan on upgrading to better parts as I go on, but what I have now gets the job done pretty well

Yes, but IDK if you have a t25 or a t3 ect. Get that restrictor plate for the specific turbo that you have

Yeah, thats the right one. The only thing is, because of hood clearance, you will have to get a 90 degree fitting to put on the restrictor.

Well, if you put a T at the oil pressure sending port, you can attach the male end of the feed line to the T and then get a male x female 90. The female end will go on the restrictor, and the male end of the 90 will screw into the female end of the oil feed line. And you will still be able to use your stock oil pressure sender, or a aftermarket gauge if you want. I have both of mine in the T, just because the oil pressure light will stay on if you don't have the stock oil pressure sender installed.

he is talking about finding a T fitting to use to run the oil,

All you do is remove the OEM oil pressure sender install the T fitting where it used to be and install the oil pressure sender on one side and the oil feed to the turbo on the other.

you will have to pull out the stock oil pressure sender to know exactly what fitting you need, I'm not sure of the thread pattern.

BTW. most cheap-o ebay stainless steel oil feed lines for t3 or t3/t4 turbos come with a oil inlet flange that has a restrictor built in, although on the typical journal bearing turbos its not THAT big a deal. I heard somewhere that 50psi at the turbo is the typical rule, although I'm sure it will take more.

the cx racing come with restrictors and they r fine.

start looking for a manifold already JGS is about the only one who makes good manifold

megan doesn't make one for the single cam

other than the manifold get a good tune

if you don't tune your car you could get gas mileage of 9miles per gallon which is the opposite of what you wanted in the first place. have fun even tho i regretted getting my cx kit
