Has anyone used the forged rods by either of these companies? I am looking to make 300-400whp on a built motor (with the ability to make more power eventually) and also on a budget, but I will not cheap out on s*** parts. I was just wondering if they are similar quality to Eagles or some other company with a reputation. If not I'll fork out the extra money for Eagles or Crowers. And please don't reply unless you've used their connecting rods before. Telling me your radiator or intercooler works just fine isn't helpful.

Stock rods will easily handle 3-400 hp. I've seen ka motors handle 500+ hp on stock bottoms with good bearings and a good tune.

My only issue with keeping the stock rods is, if I decided I want to go bigger, I'd have to rip apart the short block again. My logic being if I build the engine right now. I won't have to do it twice (maybe :p haha). But I'm kind of leaning towards just getting some Eagle or Crower rods because it doesn't seem like anyone has a review of these "off brand" rods.

If you are planning on more than 500 hp the build will take a whole lot more then rods. If you have the money than do it but if you never plan on running more then pump gas, you won't have enough power to bend a rod anyways. Id spend my money on machining head and block so you can run a mls head gasket,.head studs, new rings, good main and rod bearings, cams, injectors, maf,.ecu and a tune. Also the turbo parts...... The stuff that will put you in the 400+ hp and all the accessories, gets very pricy, very quick. Just my o2.
