CVT vs. manual mode.

Been driving around in manual mode recently but it seems like off the start the cvt gets up quicker but obviously around corners the manual mode kicks butt. just making sure thats normal. in an 08 2.5 coupe.

I've driven mycoupe in manual mode sine I got it and loved it. Used it in CVT bt it shifts toquick hen the car lags. Manual is the way togo.

BTW: the transmission is he same for 2.5 and 3.5...I think..

If the transmission was the same then couldn't we 2.5 owners turbo our coupes up to 300 hp like y'all have stock?? I don't think they're the same.

I agree. I feel like I get the best acceleration coming off the line in automatic then slapping it over to manual. Or I use "first gear" to floor it up to 4k then put it back into automatic while still keeping the pedal down to ensure no premature "upshifts."

Manual mode does let you accelerate quicker through the corners and even quicker with suspension mods. I took my car with racingline's stb&rsb through the twisting roads of lake berryessa and the D mode was lagging through the corners and was completely boring. In manual mode, I was able to upshift and downshift through the corners. The manual mode reacts much quicker. I just drive around in manual mode every time I get in the car, my exhaust sounds better in manual mode
