UpRev might be your best bet there since they've tuned CVT transmissions before.

You'll get more than 3-5 hp. The BullyDog gave me a pretty solid amount and it's not a real tune.

I wouldn't hold my breath on them coming out with them that soon. I've been waiting almost 6 months for the traction rods that they said were coming out in a couple of months, haha... And they even had photos of them installed on a test car, grrrr.

But if you want something quick that will give you power, the BullyDog is a good buy.

I plan on calling an UpRev tuner to find out, but I'm hoping you guys can save me a phone call: how long does it take? It involves me driving about 2.5 hours, whether I go to NY or to MA to do it.

I went to the one on long island, new york and there the ones who told me I wouldn't see that big of a gain but I'm going to try again. And as for time from what I know it takes 2 to 3 hrs but I'm not 100% sure

It's a little more involved than that. You have to send them a dump of your stock ECU. They tune it then send it back to the tuner shop to flash your ECU. The whole process will probably cost anywhere from $500-$1000 from what I believe depending on if you have to buy the cipher cable or not..

Hm. Might look into it this weekend. I'll either be at home or down on LI anyways.

Ranga, are you saying that you drive in, leave and come back when it's done? For the money, do you guys think it's worth it to get the tune or just buy the Bullydog?

The BD is great for tracking all aspects of the car as well, don't forget that.

But if you're seriously wanting more power, get a real tune. And you'd probably end up taking your car in twice. The shop the first time would hook up their cable, do the dump, send it off to uprev, then some odd days or weeks later, they send it back to said shop and shop dyno's and flashes your ECU with uprev's tune.
