Hey Ladies and Gents,

This is my first time on the board and I wanted to say it's good to have a group of people who own Nissan's, especially the Versa! I had a serious question about CVT transmission swapping to manual.

How much would it cost to swap a CVT Transmission for a Manual? (An estimate would suffice)
Also, is it a bad idea to swap transmissions for the sake of building your dream tuning car?

Much appreciated mates,

VSL

A CVT Versa performs better than the six speed manual - even though it is higher weight.

Hey check out the Cube forum, I believe our leader AzHitman swapped the CVT out of his Cube with a 6-speed...check it out, it can be done!

Don't do it.

It's more work than you're willing to take on (I guarantee it), and you'll spend another $1500 just on additional parts.

Trade yours in on a 6MT if that's what you want (I wish I had).
