CVT Transmission Questions

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum, so I hope I'm not doing something wrong. I'm here to learn about Infiniti G35 Coupes. My son is very interested in getting a G35 Coupe with automatic trans. He has been looking at a few 2005 cars that are for sale locally. I was told to stay away from any car with CVT transmission. I've done a bunch of searches but can't find some simple answers. Is the automatic transmission in a 2005 G35 coupe a CVT transmission? What years , if any, did CVT come in a G35/G37 ? Thank you.

None of the G's have CVT's, that's a Nissan thing. I believe most of them are 5-speed A/T's.
