I'm sorry if that question have been answered before, but I did not find anything about it on the forum. Here it is: I know that the T32 2nd generation Rogue has a stock transmission oil cooler. But is it a front mounted radiator or a transmission mounted heat exchanger? Or both? Is there any picture and/or diagram of the actual system? Thanks a million!

The CVT had an oil warmer that is feed with engine coolant and it has a cooler for the CVT oil in the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side, the CVT feeds hot fluid in and gets slightly cooler fluid out.

Personally I use the app CVTz50 to monitor the CVT temperature when I'm towing a 1,500 lb RV with the Rogue. I'm adding an additional CVT cooler in front of the radiator in the coming weeks by routing the radiator based cooling into the second transmission cooler before it returns back to the CVT.

Excellent PeterH_605, that is the answer I was looking for! So if I get it right, the oil warmer is there to bring the CVT oil up in temperature when the transmission is cold?

Heating and cooling, there is a thermostat in the line as well. Acording to the manual TM28:

CVT Oil Warmer
The CVT oil warmer is installed on the front part of transaxle assembly.
• When engine is started while engine and CVT are cold, engine
coolant temperature rises more quickly than CVT fluid temperature.
CVT oil warmer is provided with two circuits for CVT and
engine coolant respectively so that warmed engine coolant warms
CVT quickly. This helps shorten CVT warming up time, improving
fuel economy.
• A cooling effect is obtained when CVT fluid temperature is high.

Heater Thermostat
• The heater thermostat is installed on the front part of transaxle
assembly.
• The heater thermostat open and close with set temperature.

CVT Fluid Cooler (Water Cooling Type)
• The CVT fluid cooler (water cooling type) is installed in the lower
part of radiator.
• CVT fluid is cooled by engine coolant to flow through the radiator.
