it was said that Nissan confirmed that our CVT transmissions will take 400 HP ( i think blake said it but i'm not sure). Nissan said it will take 400 HP with no issues but no one knows how much it will take before it goes out (or at least i don't). so will it take 400 HP to the crank or 400 HP to the wheels? and hows the transmission and everything blake? did you guys decide to up the boost yet?

probably definately 400 to the crank, can't see the CVT handling 400 to the wheels... but I could be wrong...

honestly though if you're getting close to 400 hp in your coupe you're already looking for ways to beef up the transmission reguardless. if you're going for 400hp chances are youve already got soemthing even higher in the back of your mind that you're shooting for.

I'd love to see someone hit 400 though.

I can't see the altima handling 400 to the wheels...lets be honest, I can spin all day at 270...the altima is not a sports car. It's not meant to do 400hp...if you're hitting that, you should be in a Z or another car designed for it...

Mini thread jack sorry - how much hp do you think the 2.5 transmission can take? Cvt and 6mt?

I cannot spin all day with the cvt. It takes alot to turn the tires with that thing. I was only able to get a good burn out of it doing a 2k neutral drop one day

With the proper cooling. I would imagine it would be able to hold around 400 crank hp.
