Hello

Do you know of what material is made the belt of the CVT on the 2007/08 Versa? I've been researching but haven't found any info about it.

Thanks!

Check out this thread, see the post by RockHound about 15 down from the top. The belt is made out of a steel alloy, if you want more details than that you're probably out of luck. The diagram in the this thread says it all

See this link to a Nissan pdf document which details the current CVT design with some great pictures, diagrams and very detailed descriptions.

hi, any chance to do a upgrade for the belt?

i understand we r using JATCO JF009E CVT transmission...looking for a upgrade to hold abt 400Nm of torque...which is abt same as F1C1 used by Ralliart Version R. transmission also manufacture by JACTO, just that the push belt by BOSCH VDT.

Currently have force inducted my HR15DE with a T25...power wise is approx running alongside with Version r.

Anyone can provide any info for the belt?

Great link, I thought Xtronic was the only CVT transmission Nissan had made.

Thanks

The CVT is not a serviceable part, not even Nissan technicians can service it, which is why bad CVT's are simply replaced with whole new units. One of the reasons for this is the belt requires and extremely high pre-load, in excess of anything that could be accomplished with the tools at any Nissan Dealership, so it can only be done at the time of manufacture.

So no, you can't mess with the belt, upgrade or otherwise.
