Recently ive been noticing that when i leave the car in Drive, the rpms wont go past 4500-5000 (literally pedal to the floor), but can redline in every "gear" in manual mode. Anyone else have an experience with this?

Mine does the same thing, I assume it's staying in the highest torque/power range to give you the best performance.

^^ 6,250 my friend!

To the OP, I don't think you're punching it in CVT mode. You have to push the pedal all the way down until it clicks. That will get you to 6,250RPM. There's more power hidden behind that gas pedal. =D
