With my Rogue I received lifetime oil changes. Bit of a pain to wait 1.5-2 hours at the dealer but I've been there a few times. With my experience with motorcycles I am convinced Synthetic oil is the way to go and was thinking of going to Amsoil for my next change in the Rogue and forgetting about the dealer. On my last visit while driving home I felt the Rogue was driving smoother and a bit peppier. When I got home I looked at the receipt and it noted they had put in Synthetic. Don't know why?? Don't know the brand but I'm still going to go with the Amsoil on my own. Change it once a year and your good to go.

CVT--I received the recall notice for my Rogue regarding the CVT. I don't have any noise problem but did notice a vibration at about 35 mph if I kept my hand on the shifter. Talked to the dealer and he said if you got the notice you should have the reprogramming of the computer/CVT done. Took about a 1/2 hour for them to download the software to a laptop and dump it into the Rogue. The vibration is gone and again I notice a slight improvement in performance at both low and hwy speeds.Just my two cents but I hope it helps

Wow, 1 1/2 hour waits? Do you make appts or just drive up? I think they use a synthetic blend that is the minimum requirement from Nissan. I believe in synthetic oil as well.

Regarding the CVT update-I haven't noticed a big difference other than it doesn't make any of those funky metallic noises when I'm turning at low speed or when it's cold and I'm leaving the house it used to make a noise.

They also upped your warranty to 10 years/120,000 miles on the CVT.
