Total opposite for me...I throw it in manual on the freeway that way i can downshift right away if I have tolane change or pass...Coop’sCoupe wrote:Lately around town, all I've been using is manual mode cause but on the freeway to work I leave it in D.
Lol, to each his own I guess. I don't pretend my car is something that it's not. My first car was a 5speed manual and it was fun, but I also enjoy manual mode on my Coupe. I see what your saying, but why not enjoy a fun feature on your car?Rmuth25 wrote:I have a huge hill to drive down on my way to just about anywhere so I use the manual mode to slow myself down and not ride the brakes the entire way down. Besides that not much more. I'm not trying to pretend my car is something it isnt!
It's a lot of fun! A real manual car is pretty easy to learn also. My friend showed me on his Hyundai Elantra (super easy car to learn on). I could drive it pretty well on flat land in about an hour, hills took me a little more getting used to. lolstankydanky wrote:sadly I've never driven a manual transmission car so I have to stick with it in D
I really wanna give it a try in "manual" mode one of these days though so I've been reading online and watching videos of when to shift and all that good stuff

But anyhow, for the manual mode, I'd just try it, the transmission won't let you redline so you won't hurt anything if you play around with it and try to figure it out. You'll learn it fast and it's tough to go back to D.
