Lately around town, all I've been using is manual mode cause but on the freeway to work I leave it in D.

In the morning on my way to work I leave it in drive because I'm too tired to worry about shifting (even though it would shift for me if I forgot). But lately I've been using manual mode most of the time.

I have a huge hill to drive down on my way to just about anywhere so I use the manual mode to slow myself down and not ride the brakes the entire way down. Besides that not much more. I'm not trying to pretend my car is something it isnt!

I mostly drive in D especially on the drive to work, since it's 90% highway with few rush hour jams. On the way back depending on my mood, I might toss it around in manual mode but once again reaching the highway portion I'll usually have it in D. Sometimes when approaching lights, I'll downshift to slow down somewhat, as well as to hear the silly blurby noise it'll make now and then.

Around town and with many stop lights, I usually stay in manual mode, just because it's more fun. Why not? Plus it sounds way nicer at higher revs while shifting in manual mode than when it quickly goes down to 1100 rpm at 30 mph in D mode. Hah.

I normally drive in D but every once in a while I'll kick it in Manual Mode just for the heck of it

Lol, to each his own I guess. I don't pretend my car is something that it's not. My first car was a 5speed manual and it was fun, but I also enjoy manual mode on my Coupe. I see what your saying, but why not enjoy a fun feature on your car?

sadly I've never driven a manual transmission car so I have to stick with it in D

I really wanna give it a try in "manual" mode one of these days though so I've been reading online and watching videos of when to shift and all that good stuff

It's a lot of fun! A real manual car is pretty easy to learn also. My friend showed me on his Hyundai Elantra (super easy car to learn on). I could drive it pretty well on flat land in about an hour, hills took me a little more getting used to. lol

But anyhow, for the manual mode, I'd just try it, the transmission won't let you redline so you won't hurt anything if you play around with it and try to figure it out. You'll learn it fast and it's tough to go back to D.
