Hello every one

I am New here and i have a question.

I have an altima coupe 3.5 SE 09, CVT

Does the Altima coupe 3.5 accelerat faster when it's on CVT or Shifter?

Because what i can see is that the CVT has better acceleration but i dnt know,

First I would like to Welcome you to the NICO Family. What I can say as a CVT owner is that shifter is faster. You have the power to shift as you please at higher RPM's. There should be no reason why in CVT mode would accelorate faster then shifter because it's the same transmission. To many people, including myself, shifter mode feels better because you feel more in power of the car and like I stated you manage the RPM range higher if you want and shift at your pleasure ;) . I hope this helps or at least answers part of you question dude.

I was just thinking about shifting vs CVT. Like I used CVT 99% of the times my 1st 4000 miles. Recently I've been using the shifter and it's kinda guilty pleasure. I was gonna ask CVT owners if they shift predominantly or use CVT or both equally. Right after I bought the car, the nissan salesman told me just use CVT, don't bother w/shifter..wonder if they have issues w/it.

except for the fact that several members have compared the two back to back at the track and found that just leaving it in "D" is faster lol why would shifter be quicker??? your RPMs go up and then you shift and they go down. in "D" they stay up the whole time..... manual transmissions are faster because of other factors (like drivetrain loss). but with the CVT transmission it's faster to just leave it in D... unless your going from a roll where you can down shift and have the RPMs up higher from the start

Thanx Mr. Coupe, as a matter of fact i tried with three other coupes and realized that CVT is faster, though the shifter feel more powerful,
all of them were using the shifter and all of them had 3.5 coupes.
