My 2.5 automatically shifts as soon as I get to the red line. So... right before the red line I would say.

several people have test manual mode VS "D" at the track and everyone agreed that just leaving it in "D" is faster.... manual mode feels more fun and is better from a roll but from a stop just leave it in "D"...... what i do is step on the gas and brake at the same time and your RPMs will go up to about 2,500 or 3k and then just keep your foot on the gas and take your other foot off the brake.... oh ya and make sure you have TCS and VDC off.... speedforce racing said they wouldnt do it with a Turbo car but never told me if it would damage a N/A car and ive done it 100+ times with not 1 issue so i guess he was just talking about Turbo cars...

i THINK TCS and VDC are optional on the 2.5s so you might not have it... but if you do, there should be a button near the trunk release button that says "TCS OFF" or "VDC OFF"

Yup, same here. I should have mentioned that.

How do you get it to rev beyond 2,000? That's as far as mine will go with my foot on the brake (TCS on or off, and no VDC on my car).

hmmmm interesting... maybe the 09's are different because i know mine sits some where between 2,500 RPM and 3,000 RPM when i launch it and all i do is step on the gas and brake at the same time

Daan, VDC is part of the Canadian 'Leather Package'.

In fact, it was not even an option when bought the car ... so that begs the question , how can one get the VDC option ?

I do NOT have the leather package, so I don't have VDC. If you have it, there should be a control to disable it. If you don't have the package then you don't have VDC at all.

Yes, but your car must HAVE VDC before you can turn it on or off.

Found the VDC button, is there TCS functionality in our cars ?

I forgot - What is the 0-60 MPH again for auto - 6.6 seconds?

If I remember correctly, TCS is built into VDC. And 0-60 was around 6.5

I've also felt that turning VDC off never really turns it completely off.
