so has any one had any issues with CVT yet? my friend is claiming that CVT has issues after the first fluid flush. he said people have issues with it and that his cuzin is a Nissan tech and he was telling him too and blah blah blah. i heard that our CVT transmission is different then the old ones and that the ones prior to 2005 have issues. has anyone had issues with CVT in the coupes or sedans? plus isn't the 1st CVT fluid flush when you have hella miles on it? i have about 10k or 11k miles.... got it on the 4th of July, and haven't had any issues. i mean i've driven it hard, raced it hard and i havent had any issues.

No joke and to make a long story short, mine was dead (and the transmission control module) less than 1 day after buying the car and less than 100 miles and believe it or not I was following the break in guidelines for the car. As for my second transmission and tcm, no problems since it was put in.

Really annoying thing about CVT is when u going downhill without gas pedal on, Engine goes up to 2k RPM so i have to switch to N all the time Im going down, I havent notice same thing with regular auto trannys.

I've noticed this with mine as well, but its only down hills when i'm going really slow. I think it is to help keep the speed down when descending a hill, sorta like engine braking. This is probably their way of solving it running off like its in N since it has no real gearing, it backs down to slow you up.

Have you guys tried slapping it to manual mode when going up/down hills? This will solve your RPM issue.

No issues I know as of yet. I did leave it in the speed shift slot and get out of my car, there was this dinging noise I could not figure out. Once i got out of the car and closed the door the car started to roll.... I said to myself.

Self, you best open the door and pull the brake, about that time I realized what was going on.

other than that runs great.
