CVT 2007 Nissan

I have a nissan 2007 tiida latio CVT, when I start the car up in the morning I hear a whining that starts off low but gets noisy after a while. The noise disapperas when I put the car into a gear.....Can anybody advise me on what's going on?

Tough one. It could be a bearing or something inside the transmission that's going bad.
I don't suppose it is still under warranty is it? Here in the US, they extended the warranty on those transmissions.

Check out the Rogue forum. That is usually an indication that your transmission has to be replaced. Have you ever changed the trans fluid? How many miles on the car?

Yep I changed the trans fluid, the mechanic says that I may have to do a proper flush, other wise the car runs smoothly and works fine.....the mileage is about 59000 km....

After it warms up the noise goes away so it's a little odd. Will check the forum.

Didn't know what a tiida latio was until I just googled it. Look at other forums here where the car uses a CVT.

Do you know what fluid your mechanic put in it? Did this start after you changed the cvt fluid?

Hmmm I think that it did, but he used the NS2 fluid as directed, I'll check the other forums on CVT thanks
