NEver EVER go with anything other then OEM or Rockford Duraboot CV boots, i used the dorman universal ones, just barely 3 days after installing the new outer boot, grease shot out. Least i know the front axle diagram by memory from spending so much time on it the first time the boot broke. Might be a bit more expensive, but its a job you dont want to do again.

I am planning on rockford duraboots after alot of googling and research. the part number from their website is

for the r50 inner 166-23, outer 166-21
and same for the older pathfinders except the 1990-1995 ones whose inner is 166-22A

just a general warning to all

It helps if you spray some silicone on them, but 3 days is pretty ridic.

grease coming out can also mean you put too much in it.... be carefull.. The boot should not be completely filled up.. Also, make sure where the metal band is , there is no grease on the lip where the rubber sits, It needs to be as dried as possible or else the boot can move.

been running my rockfords for a while now, and they are still in great shape...
