A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

So I started replacing the CV axles and struts this weekend (passenger side first) Seemed like such an easy process until I took the lower ball joint loose so I could place the wheel spindle back on. In the process I damaged the threads on the ball joint so I know I'll have to take the lower control arm (LCA) off and have the ball joint pressed off and a new one pressed on. Wish there was an easier way to do this. Any suggestions, as I have tried the "Thor's hammer" approach. Also can I get some guidance on removing the LCA?

You can rent a small press kit from Advance Auto.

Press kit did the trick, took me all of 15 min to get old ball joint out and new one pressed in. And all it cost me was my time. Autozone is going to refund 100% of my deposit. Good looking out 06!
