Cutting rear 1/4 panel

i own a 89' coupe and its has some nasty damage on the passenger 1/4 panel, how would i go about cutting out the fender with a sawsall, also getting around the gas tank??

it would probably be easier to remove the tank and only cut what you have to. Make sure you don't cut gas door release. You could also try drilling out the welds.

drill out the spot welds.. dont go all the way through, just enough to get the panel to come off.. i assume you are going to weld a new one in place..

use the holes on the quarter you took off to align the holes in the new quarter, drill the holes all the way through on the new one.. then weld the new one in.

bondo the holes and get it all smooth then paint it.

well. my only tool of choice is a sawz-all, and i need the whole quater panel and part of the door jamb, where would i begin cutting?
