cutting off when i hit the clutch....?

so i get my s14 sr20det on the road and im driving for about 20-30 min and i come to a light when i get of the highway and i down shift and press the clutch and the car dies while im rolling to a stop....?! and then passed 2,500 rmps the check engine light comes on but i hit the brakes and it turns off and on and off...etc..... ....and is it normal to just be crusing and the boost gauge reads in VAC about 10 and when im just idling about 20-25 vac....it only reads positive when im taking off...with some speed not all tho.... what gives ??

my buddy had that happen in his 240...Is yours lowered? the wiring harness runs on the top of the wheel well and if the car is lowered the wheel rubs it and eventually makes things malfuction...I think it was the switch that tells the car the clutch is down so you can start the motor...that may have shorted and now its telling the car to turn off...

Just a thought
