Cutting carbon fiber?

If I were to cut a carbon fiber hood, would it split, fray, crack or spontaniously combust? Im just talking about a square hole on a hood. Thanks :)

you probably want to use a cut-off wheel or a jigsaw.

Treat it like really strong fiberglass.

No it wont, a cut off wheel would work well, or any number of other things (jigsaw with metal cutting blade etc) Just dont use any course bladed saws on it...then it'll probably cause problems. psychic is right, its just like cutting really strong fiberglass.
