DjPantsSpecR and I have been discussing custom intake manifolds and plenums at the tail end of "my comments on 248/240 s13 cam swap" thread and I thought I would get a new one started to get more attention. We both have designed and built our own plenums on factory runners. See "30 dollar Intake Manifold" to see what I'm talking about.

I want to hear other peoples experiences, opinions and ideas on their custom pieces, ie; plenum sizes and dimensions, runner length, or just ideas. It doesn't matter whether you built it, its an Xcessive unit, AMS, or a less known piece. I would also like to know how it performs for you and what kind of modifications are done to your car. Turbo or non-turbo I want to know.

I've been planning for awhile now...

plan is to make one from very thin steel or aluminum(want the aluminum), I am unsure as to size but I will be starting soon.(I hope)
