Cuts out when being ran hard

Hello, I just bought my first 240sx. 1989 in good condition. Only problem is it cuts out under hard acceleration after 5 seconds it will run again. Fuel filter? fuel Pump?

Any sudjestions would be great!!!

When i first went to test drive my 240 before buying, I had similar problems. It had been sitting in a lot for around a year. It started right up amazingly, and idled perfect, but when we went to drive it, acceleration would cause the engine to start chugging and want to die. Before it died, letting off the accererator would cause the engine to return back to idle and run smoothly. The car had the gas swapped out and a new fuel filter put in and now it runs perfectly. If your car is doing something similar then maybe try a new filter? Im sure somebody on here more knowledgeable might have a more straightforward reply. Oh well, good luck.
