Cut wires on rb20det MT...what do they do?

Ok, i was looking under my car yesterday and discovered a pair of cut wires. now, my car is a auto to 5spd convert, so i dont know if i need them. but here is a pic.....anybody know what they are supposed to do??

they are small diameter one black and one red

its either reverse or neutral... neither are really necessary for the engine to run right

it must be nuetral, cuz i do have reverse lights.

Rather than wiring the neutral safety switch they just jumped it up on the relay box.

hey Cpt......it wont be till this spring. I only insure my car for 6 months, i have a frontier and a lancer as my daily drivers. My 240 hasnt seen rain for almost 3 years now:)

I have 2 plugs just ziptied to the underbody

if you want to do it right, wire it to where they are supposed to go on the ECU. if not, just let them hang, probably not a big deal.
