Hi, I have cut dropzone springs on my s14 Looks Slammed but a little bumpy. I dont have enough money to buy EXPENSIVE setups. So should I stay with my cut spring or buy cheap coilovers. THanks fellas

Don't cut springs Try to find used coilovers on ebay or on the classifieds

section on NICO, if anything. If you are thinking those sleeved "coilovers" on

ebay don't unless they are true Ground Control brand.

Don't

Cut

Springs

Either buy good springs & shocks.....or buy coilovers.

Why do you want to slam the shxt out of your car anyway?

Cut springs aren't safe and look like garbage when you bounce around unnaturally.

Get cheap springs/shocks if you HAVE to lower your car.

DO NOT CUT YOUR SPRINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The previous owner of my hatch did it to my stock springs

More than half cut and held on to the shocks/struts with zipties.

What you need is a spring compressor and a Oxy Acetylene blow torch. Compress the stock spring, heat with torch, cool, install.

You can buy coil spring compressors through several different websites that stay on the spring while you drive. Instant lowering kit for pennies on the dollar.

Cheap suspension vs. cut stock springs is good for safety though.
