im pretty sure hes gonna weld some new metal in there soon.

leaving it open would probably not be the wisest of ideas.

it would get dirty, weaken the already jello front end, probably cut your tire up if you slammed a hard bump and it rubbed.

but thats a track car thats a different story. i can see having cut wheel wells on a track car only for the fact they don't see many big bumps but for a street car i would say its got bad new all over it.

Id rather use a sledge hammer and pound the s*** out of that until it cleared, Given it wouldnt look that great but it would clear and wouldnt be Huge gapping holes and give a less ridgid front end, Id either tub or pound them...

um. look at my parts list. its a track car, for all intents and purposes. i dont drive on the moon w/ craters in my path, vertical clearance isnt the issue in discussion.

i need to fully assess this tomorrow after some heavy massaging via BFH.

the s13 fender whells have no stuctural support to the s13 chasiss. so cutting them out is no problem.

that is a pretty unsafe idea. my last track car cracked on both sides of the strut tower. so there is needed reinforcement there.

also you have to think that's going to hurt performance in the long run. it's so close to the suspension that i bet you'll loose performance out of the expensive setup.

but on another note, i think though this person probably had some push issues so he made the front end unstiff. he could have 1) lowered front tire pressure, 2) changed spring rate and sway bar, 3) adjusted coilovers (lower front, raise rear) i donno, maybe light weight reduction stage 5?
