Since I bought this car at about 2500 miles the car would studder and loose power and hesitate for the first 10 miles every morning I drove the car, or after it sat for a few hours and restarted.

Brought it in to get checked 3 times, each time they said they couldnt get the car to do what I was telling them. They disconnected the battery and I guess it cleared the ecu and it drove fine for a 1000 miles then did it again.

The car has 22,000 miles on it now. The problem is getting worse. So I brought it in and told them I cant take the car back untill the problem is fixed. This time they do admit it is doing this and that infiniti does know it is a known issuse. Something with the ecu pulling timing bla bla bla. The dealer said there is no eta, and no known cure and that they are trying best they can to find out why.

I've been driving a stripped g35 loaner for the past 2 weeks.

The dealer wants the car back and for me to take my car back and drive it with the known problem.

I called infinity and they got back to me with some lame answer like the dealer. I am waiting for a supervisor from infiniti customer claims to get back to me.

Anyone here that might work at a dealer have any advise for me?

I dont want to drive my car with a problem like this. I'm afraid it might do damage to the car. I want to keep this car and buy it after the lease. And I dont want to be stuck after with a problem that infinity will not cover. This is a great car that I love to drive, but feel like I am getting screwed for driving a car with a major problem.

This car is very expensive and costs a lot per month to own.

I am not happy.

What should I do? I need this car for work.

I would also inform your car insurance... *knocks on wood* in case something were to happen while you were driving it. Also, get EVERYTHING in writing from your dealer about this problem for future should they try to scam you later.

Or as soul said... look at the lemon law.. good luck keep us in the loop

I was having a similar problem with my 2007 G35 sedan. I was putting premium gas into it, but then someone mentioned that in addition to putting in the highest octane available, you have to use a Tier I gas (Shell, Chevron, etc). I put in two or three tanks of Shell, and now I don't have it happening.

However, if you do find out about a fix, post it here, as I'm not thrilled about the prospect of having limited options for gas, and I'm guessing that your issue and my issue are tied together.

No this problem is with the ecu. The dealer has other cars doing the same thing. I have to wait and see if infiniti can fix the problem.

Got the car back and the dealer and infiniti can't do anything to fix the problem. I found an online attorney that will take my case to infiniti. Not sure what I will get out of it but all I want is a car that does not run like crap. I love this car and want to pay it off and own it
