Couldn't find the thread that was in the sticky huh...LOL.

What happened to the stud, stripped and came out of the head requiring a retap or broke off in the head?

cant answer your question but, dude I just got to say Love the way that car looks. Not too much into the high wing although it is needed at high speeds, just like the plain and sutle look.

to be honest i didnt search at all LOL. but anyways, what happened is i noticed when tightening the nut on that one stud i could feel it never torque down like the other did. i could always keep turning it more and more. so i got to thinking that whats happening is that the stud was pulling out of the head through the threads. well the night it came out i tightened it down all the way just because the flange on the mani was warped and leaking like a biotch (3rd time i had all of my **** apart in two weeks due to warpage.... THANKS JGS! ). i pulled all the way out and took the aluminum head threads with it. the fix was easy and only took 5 mins once i had all the **** apart. i didnt even drill it out to a bigger size like the helicoil kit suggested. i just stuck the tap in there and got it started and had it bottoming out as far as it would go. now if it was steel, itd prob be a different story... anyways, the fix works perfect.

^^ are you talking about my car?? what high wing mang?? the only wing thats ever been on this car is the stock one....
