I think i found a company that is willing to do the R&D to make lowering springs for the Y33. I know falk has some, but perosnally i want them a little lower. I have JIC coilovers so i found the perfect height I want the car, but the ride is just not for me. Its either this or going to air suspension...

Is there anyone else interested in getting a set? or has any comments and concerns with this process?

You want to go lower than the Tein's??? Man, I have them on 97' and drop the front spoiler maybe 2-3" off the ground, any lower and your going to be scaping a hell of a lot. I have to be much more careful on speed bumps and going to driveways. I found that some speed bumps I just cannot avoid a little bottoming out (hitting the Cat Coverter cover, no biggie). you go lower and you would barely be able to use this as a daily driver.

Maybe he wants to convert it to a snowplow?

Big advantage to the Eibachs, it can still be driven like a car. Hitting anything on the bottom is a no no.

Meh, it's just a car. I try my best not to hit anything, and for myself, the only time anything hits the bottom, it's speedbumps on the cats, just like Jeff. I don't care if they get a little scratched up. And I can assure you that I drive my car, fast and hard, yet gentle, if that makes any sense lol.

You could always cut 1/2 coil or so off the Tein's for slightly more drop. The way I feel is that sure, a little more drop would look nice, but I feel for myself and how I drive like my setup is perfect. However, I might try some different springs like Espelir just for comparison at some point, or even a coilover setup like the Insurance ones Van is selling.

if the JIC's are giving off a bad ride then why not just raise it up a bit ?

do coilovers just have a inherently bad ride vs non adjustable set ups or is it because it is simply set too low ?

I don't think your going to get a "bad" ride from coilovers but for sure a rough one. I am like Kevin in that I drive hard and fast, but SLOW into the driveway. Any lower is just too low for normal daily driving with speedbumps, driveways etc. The Tein's really should be as low as you go.

The cats for sure hit, there are some dents in them but totally worth it for the ride the car has now versus before.
