Custom Wheels

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Has anyone upgraded their EX35 with custom 18" wheels and wider tires? If you have, could you share the make and model for both wheels and tires? I called some local shops and so far no one has even heard of the EX, let alone being able to show me some compatible options. I think I like the EX wearing rims with fewer spokes...

Acarnut, any luck? Has anyone else found custom wheels for the EX? As the EX is based in several respects on the G35, has anyone checked to see whether wheels that would fit the G35 would fit the EX? Thanks,

The 07+ G35 has the same offset and bolt pattern but I haven't been able to find out if the hub diameter is the same size. I would think it should be the same.

Looks like there are a lot of potential donors for snow tire wheels.

To All - Please post photos of your EX if you have mounted custom wheels. I'd like to see actual photos as opposed to computer-generated images to see what direction I might go. Thanks,

Hub diameter should be the same. All Nissan 5 lug cars use the same lug pattern and hub diameter. Wheels that fit other RWD Infinitis will fit the EX.

all 5-lug nissans in the last 20 years have a 66.1mm hub bore.

anyone ditching their 7-spoke 17's let me know. I'll buy 'em.

3Q Jay,

Please contact me directly to discuss further. I have the 17's on the EX, that I am thinking of replacing. I like the style of the 17's better than that of the 18's, so I am thinking of going in the direction of a custom 18. (BTW - does the photo on the forum homepage strike anyone as an 18 inch version of the 17's?)

Please email me: [email protected]. Thanks,

EX and the G sedan (awd) have interchangeable wheels. 17x7.5 or 18x7.5 for the G..... 17x7.5 or 18x8 for the EX. Offset is identical.

G35 Sport (rwd) sedan has 18x7.5 F and 18x8.5 R. They should still fit the EX.

So....find aftermarket wheels that fit the G and they should be just fine on the EX. Post some pictures of your wheel choice....we'd like to see! 19's perhaps???

I'm considering 19's or even 20's... can't decide between brand, style....black with polished lip, or the new "hyper-black"(really a platinum or dark silver) for color...on my black EX. Has anyone upgraded? Pictures? How's the ride quality? I feel that the EX could definitely use wider, stickier rubber when I really push it into corners! Any input is greatly appreciated!

Yes, please do post pictures! Many angles/views would be nice. What tires did you opt for? How's the ride/handling? Are you happy with your choices?

I have decided that I most likely will get my stock rims dipped so as they are chrome to match the exterior of the car. I think that this will provide a stylish as well as custom look.

It'd be great if you could post the weight of one rim before, as well as after, the dip. I'm curious as to just how much weight it adds. I'm assuming you have the 18" alloys? Oh, & of course pics would be nice!
