So my new 18" wheels will be here by the end of the week and i was looking at the center cap that comes with the wheel and got to thinking....I'd like to replace them with an oem like "Z" center cap that matches the finish on the new wheels.

Anybody have any ideas? Anyone else done it or am I just overly obsessive? thanks!

Would be pretty baller to see, haha. Don't know how good it would look though. What brand wheels did you get? We might be able to suggest an alternative.

Except that each emblem is self-stick, so no hot glue gun needed. Just clean the wheel really well and stick.

Only problem is each emblem is like $35.

Should be the same diameter of the "ring" portion of your stock Nissan emblem. Might be a little big, but then again, that is a pretty big TSW logo on that wheel. Looks like it might fit perfectly, just from an eyeball-gauge. Idk, measure the center when you get them in.

Thanks Ace...should have em on friday. i may call z1 to get the actual measurement. the black and silver could really set the wheels and black car off really well.

I would post some pics from a member on 3zc that did the z emblem as a center cap on his lmgt4's but I don't feel like having to host them myself.

Thanks Ace,

Just finished with the dremel on the 1st cap and installed the jdm emblem. It really looks sick...looks like it was a factory option and makes the wheels pop even more. If i knew how to post a pic id throw one up.

1 down 3 to go.

Thanks again for the idea! :mike

Create an account on something like photobucket etc. and then upload the photo to it. After that all you need to do is copy the image url code and place it in the image brackets here which are [ img ]your image code here with no spaces [ /img ] Do it cause we want to see~ :dblthumb:

I have recently ordered some TSW wheels. I was wanting to do the same exact thing. I found this post on a Google search. I was looking at replacing the TSW logo center caps with the silver factory center caps. Does anybody know if the TSW wheels have the same size center caps for a direct replacement of the factory Z caps? I also like the idea of the JDM logo as a center cap, like shown. Was there any modification in performing that JDM logo center cap or was it a stick and go solution?

You know that isn't a bad idea. I probably will do more on these forums in a month or two. I have some pictures but they are limited. My job takes me out of my home state so I haven't even had much drive time after I bought it. I've been browsing the forums and more or less doing preliminary research. I ordered some TSW wheels and was trying to see if anybody could tell me more about this mod or if the center caps were interchangeable with the factory Z caps so I could get the parts ordered so I could have it ready for me to get to work after I got to the house. Any help or advice in this subject is greatly appreciated.

Here is a sneak peak for you though...

When I get home and do the work after I figure out how to do it I can post more photos. :yesnod
